I discovered the brand Verano High Swimwear through my endless hours spent playing on Twitter & Pinterest, and was immediately drawn to them. From bathing on the sultry white sand beaches of Greece to partying on the mega yachts of St. Tropez, these swimsuits and cover-ups were meant for high end glamour. You can almost envision yourself sipping on champagne while lounging poolside in one of their sexy ensembles. Check out my exclusive interview with Verano High below.
1. How was this brand born?
After several friends kept asking the oh so talented designer, Maria LaRosa to bring back those “perfect bikinis from the beach in Colombia,” she realized that indeed there is something very special about the Colombian “fit.” This motivated her to create a line accessible to everyone, and we needed to have a presence in the US and world fashion markets. The best part is that VH has two different cuts available, “Latin cut” and “Fuller cut.”
2. Are the clothes currently available in any boutiques?
Si, Claro! In NYC we are currently in a few of the “go to” bikini shops like Pesca, and Pesca Trend. Stay tuned for some new exciting accounts. We are also available online at www.veranohigh.com.
3. Are you currently involved with any charitable causes?
Maria LaRosa is dedicated to always helping the economy in Colombia, and insists that everything is made in Colombia for VH. She is also involved with the Connecticut Children’s Hospital and Help USA.
4. What can we expect to see from Verano High in the future?
The new collection is going to be better than ever! We are working on a luxe line that is truly in a league of its own. As always, the hardware will be dipped in real gold, among other suprises…
5. What would you say is your most popular piece thus far?
Our one pieces have been very popular this season, people appreciate our bright prints, as we spare no expense to use the best quality always! The Havana print does very well, and so do our solid classics, what is your favorite?
From L&L: If I HAD to choose one favorite suit, it would have to be the Blue Lagoon Twisted Bandeau with gold hardware (at right). I would rock this with some gold bangles and a big white hat! If you follow me on Twitter, you know of my obsession with the Monte Carlo dress, pictured above. There is something very James Bond/Casino Royale about it that I just adore!
6. Anything else you would like to add for our readers?
We love seeing our clients wearing the suits on their vacations so please have your readers send in any photos and pin, tweet, Facebook away! To find out more, please visit them at www.veranohigh.com.
