Normally on my site I like to feature new & upcoming brands that people may not be aware of. This week, however, I am excited to break my rules and do a post on a brand that has been around for some time now. For years I have been a huge fan of the brand Young Fabulous & Broke. Ever since I got my first pair of their amazingly comfortable Sierra pants, I was hooked. For those of us who live in warm climates year round, we often face the challenge of what to wear in the middle of a heat spell and I often turn to my YFB staples to keep me cool & chic.
YFB founder Heidi Cornell states that the collection was created “Because I love laid-back LA style- which is why the collections are filled with flowy feminine dresses, sexy bohemian skirts, cozy sweat pants and flirty tops made from sumptuous, form-enhancing fabrics such as silk jersey, soft cotton and fine cashmere.” I couldn’t agree more that their fabrics and prints are sexy, unique and are great for women of all ages.
One of the many things I love about living in Miami Beach is the fashion rules that seem to be deathly enforced elsewhere, simply go out the window. You can wear white anytime of the year, which is why I often pair my YFB White Roxy Blazer (left) with anything from a floral sundress to jeans for a casual Friday at the office. The lightweight 100% Linen fabric makes it simply perfect, even for those June mornings when the temperature seems to reach 80 degrees by 7 o’clock in the morning. 🙂
Maxi dresses are also a huge staple in my closet, and I have several from this line that I would sleep in if I could! Their tie-dye maxi dresses like the Drizzle Stripe Hamptons, pictured below, are super comfortable, easy to care for, and can pretty much be thrown on with some chic accessories paired with flats or wedges. Whether you are running off to a brunch, or spending an afternoon shopping, the light, breezy cotton & spandex blend are perfect for any body type and are available from XS to L. Trust me, with these sexy, curve hugging maxis, people are sure to ask you “Who are you wearing?”
Young Fabulous & Broke really hits it out the park with their social media integration, which I love, and you can connect with them on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and on their WordPress blog. They love interacting with their fans and following them is a great way to get the latest scoop on their upcoming collections!
Young Fabulous & Broke is available for purchase on their website in addition to Saks Fifth Avenue, Shop Bop, Planet Blue and other retailers (complete list available on their site). As for me, I think their navy Sydney Jumpsuit is next on my shopping list!
