Falling Into A New Routine

Happy Friday friends! It’s the middle of October and there is a chill in the air. Oh wait, that’s just the office air conditioner on full blast.  Well, it may be a TAD cooler here in Miami Beach, but that doesn’t mean I am any less exited for Fall and the upcoming holidays! I definitely miss the changing of the leaves and that “romantic crispness” in the air that I experienced when I lived in the Northeast, but today I am sharing some ways I’ve recently tried to make it feel like a new season with some new home decor.

The Bridge at Argenteuil by Claude Monet.

I recently moved out of the condo I’d lived in for nine years, which at first was really stressful and a little bit sad. Being so sentimental, I had a difficult time saying goodbye to all the memories I’d made living there. Instead of being sad, I decided to look at my new place as a fresh start. What better way to get a fresh start than to treat myself to some new pieces, artwork, and decor for the new pad! I found a print of one of my favorite Monet paintings (above) on an art website, and was so excited to hang it in my hallway.

I’ve always loved West Elm for their neutral palettes- many of the things in my condo are grey, white, beige and cream with pops of color here and there, and I was excited to check out some of the new Fall collections at West Elm. They have great vases, mirrors and trays that are perfect accent pieces for any room!

I was in dire need of some new glassware, and I really loved the unique designs of the set below. I also loved the candlesticks and chargers they sell because they are pretty enough to just set a chic tablescape to leave up in my dining area until I transition over to my holiday/Christmas decor.

Let’s face it, what single gal’s condo is complete without a stylish bar cart?! I’ve wanted one for a long time now, and decided this was the time. I LOVED this one pictured below from West Elm, and the gold accents really matched my dining room space. It hasn’t arrived yet, and you can believe I am counting my wine glasses & decanters until it does! 🙂

They also have amazing 400 thread count sheets in a variety of neutral tones, because let’s face it, no one loves their sleep more than I do, especially on the weekends. Take note men: get good sheets, lol! It will go a long way in getting that special woman in your life to want to cuddle on those chilly Autumn nights.

Some of my other West Elm favs are pictured below, and now you can get FREE shipping with any order over $99 with the code: EXTRAGOOD as well as tons of 20% off deals on their sale page.
Happy Shopping & have a terrific weekend! ~xo, J~
Note: This is not a sponsored post, I just love West Elm. 🙂 Photos courtesy of WestElm.Com.
